I’m Laura Hois (R), running for Illinois House District 81 State Representative vs. incumbent Anne Stava (D).
One-party rule by Democrats has gone on far too long. We can’t continue to let liberal socialist agendas control policy, give “free everything” to illegals, defund the police, take away our freedoms and destroy our free market society. We need Republican leadership to gain leverage, expose corruption and fix our financial mess in Springfield.
You deserve the right person to represent your interests. I went to Naperville Central, University of Illinois and DePaul law school. I have walked neighborhoods in D-81 meeting with you and hearing your concerns. I’m running to be your voice, respect your priorities and improve the quality of your life.
I will act to restore trust in our state government. I am fiscally conservative. I will advocate for lower taxes, spending restraint, and smaller government. I will work on common sense reforms to make raising a family more affordable. I will fight for fair maps and term limits. I will prioritize public safety, allowing law enforcement to do its job. We must reduce burdens on small business owners to allow the private sector to grow, creating more jobs.
As a corporate attorney, elected town clerk, and “Mama Bear”, I understand the importance of being accountable to clients, shareholders, and the community. Anne Stava advances radical left policies: D.E.I. (Diversity, Equity and Inclusion) in schools, transgender influencing, pornography in libraries, higher taxes for government services we don’t want or need, and boys in girl’s sports. I’m the opposite. Since 2021, I’ve led the battle for Downers Grove residents against WOKE programs, ie. lockdowns and critical race theory. My record shows that I will stand up for parental rights, freedom of speech, excellence in education, equal treatment under the law, the truth - and common sense.
